Wind noise from 156 Sun roof

While I was driving along earlier in the week with teh sunroof fully retracted on the 156 doing 75mph, I was almost deafened by the wind noise coming from it being open.

So I put my hand up and pushed down on the front sealing bar that is spring loaded. Once I did this, the wind noise completely disappered. Try makes a huge difference. Now to find out a way how I can keep it down with the roof open on long journeys.

Wish Alfa had thought of this...

Re: Wind noise from 156 Sun roof

On the 147 if you hold the deflector down
the whole car hums like a bottle that's
being blown over.

But had a Mazda that I removed the deflector off
and got rid of all wind noise.

Depends on the car/roof hole size/ventilation
etc. I suppose.

Re: Wind noise from 156 Sun roof

The deflector only works quietly if it is stable when up. The mechanism gets tired and can be removed by unscrewing it. However I am not sure it isn't a part of the weather sealing system!
