Re: Leather interior - Colour Dye available on mail order
I got some mates who do a lot of work on bm's who had someone request that (imo horrible) dark red/maroonish leathers for an e30. Don't think they ever existed, so they bought a whole set of seats off eBay for £1! took them home and used some fine sandpaper to meove the top hard layer.
They had been to the lcoal paint shop and asked them for leather paint in that colour, which the shop supplid. They then sprayed the seats, which came out surprisingly well. However, me being me, had to have a little look at the tin and surprised everyone when I read the label - Bumper Coat!!! Dunno if they just stuck any old label or if it was correct, but I can beleive it, as bumper coat is probably a bit more flexible. This stuff was cheap, and you can get the paint shop to mix to the colour of your choice (dunno about metallics though cos they would have to be laquered)
