156 JTS and Belts

Do you need to replace the timing belts on the JTS engined (2.0i in this case) at about 60 - 70 thousand miles?

Re: 156 JTS and Belts

The TSpark was supposed to need changing every 72k miles/5 years. However, so many didn't last this long, most people change at 36k miles 3 years. As the JTS is a very similar engine, I would suggest 36k miles or 3 years to be much safer.

Re: 156 JTS and Belts

The JTS uses exactly the same belts & tensioners as the 2.0TS, so yes change everything at 36000miles/3-years (which ever comes first).

That means ALL the belts and ALL the tensioners.

Re: 156 JTS and Belts

shop 4 parts are selling a complete set of belts and tensioners for 67 at present. Which sounds like a good deal to me.
