2005 1.9jtd, 68000 miles.
2 months ago the cam belt broke
Last month the clutch packed up
And today the f'kin turbo boost has all gone
To say I'm totally fecked off with this car is an understatement.
Wife rings me up after driving to work and said car made a loud whirring noise (pedestrians looked round it was that loud) before losing power but she managed to limp the last 500 yards to work.
NO MSCF light and no fault codes stored.
I drove it home (5 miles) and although there was no power the noise wasn't there.
No power means it struggles to get up to 3k rpm when driving and it is as slow as a milk float.
Cleaned MAP sensor and EGR which were totally caked up
VNT actuator moves into diaphram about 10mm once engine is running and pushes back out again when engine switches off so I believe VNT solenoid and pipes are ok.
If I squeeze top hose (intercooler to inlet manifold) together whilst my assistant revs the engine the pipe does NOT inflate.
If I blow in to the big bottom hose from turbo outlet to intercooler the top hose inflates so no blockage.
All this leads me to think the turbo is not working, does that make sense
