Hi everyone. Yesterday I picked up a 2002 156 JTS Selespeed.
It has 127,000 on the clock, full service history, clean and tidy in great condition but it seems it may have been sold due to Selespeed issues cropping up.
Unfortunately I have no warranty from the dealership as it's older than 10 years so it's rather moot taking it back to them.
Anyway my issues are intermittent but still there.
Twice on the 200k trip home I pulled up at an intersection and it reved for a few seconds before engaging 1st gear. Later I went for another drive, reversed out of driveway but when I went to shift into 1st it was not go out of neutral, I turned the engine off and on to no avail, pushed the car to the curb and tried again and it worked fine.
I've run several tests with MultiECUscan, there are no error codes, all tests return normal results, the pressure of the system stays between 41 and 55 when idling and shift through the gears. Clutch rod is at 29.14.
The selespeed oil was down to just on min and took an extra 50mil or so of fluid.
When sitting with the engine off but ignition on I can hear the pump kick in every couple of minutes despite doing nothing but sitting there (when I was trying to get the OBD scanner working)
Any idea's would be greatly appreciated, I had a bad feeling this car was going to have issues but having issues on the first day really sucks
