I have a 156 V6, when it goes it's brilliant, but it doesn't anymore!
It has the following symptoms:-
Injector light on the dash is lit.
*A 3 - 4 second delay on the throttle.
*Revs slowly, but once going it will hit the limiter and pulls well - after about 5 seconds.
*Sometimes the light doesn't come on and it's fine.
*I took off the inlet pipe from the throttle body and the butterfly doesn't open properly - i.e. it opens very slowly and only to about a 10% open.
*Unplugged the MAF and it ran rougher.
*The throttle closes properly, then takes 3-4 seconds to open again, i.e. foot to floor and nothing for 3 seconds, then the revs pick up.
*Engine starts and idles fine.
It's just about drivable if you can predict when you're going to need to accelerate.
Any ideas, I reckon that it's the throttle body.
Thanks for your time.
