Re: 147 Ride and Handling
I have KW stainless steel coilovers (variant 1) and 17 inch alloys.
I cant tell you how low the car is i dont actually know, but she's pretty low and the wheel arches pretty much sit on the tyres perfect (they never scrape).
But as far as handling...WOW i cant imagine what i'd have difficulty not taking on on a windy country road, probly struglle with a subaru impreza wrxkjdkjpjdopifjoidfjodi thingy but then thats 4wd.
Basiclly my 147 is a beast when she hits a corner and always stay sturdy on the road, you just about know your at the limit when the arse end desides to slide around.
But it takes some doing, recently i had a Citreon Saxo vts trying to take me on on the way to a nearby beach "very windy roads" i couldnt gain any ground on the straits at all,in fact the saxo had the flightyness to pull beyond the 147 but when the corners where on us,the so called flighty hothatch was left feeling sick,i made up so much ground on corners...
What i do need to be carefull of though is,she holds grip and there is hardly any body roll right up to the point where there is no grip left,so you have to watch it.
If your looking for best of both worlds,a nice bit of comfort aswell then i would'nt reccomend. On long journeys on main roads it isnt to bad,but round town and bumpy roads you will now every bump and pot hole was there!!!you know about it.
Handling is fantastic though...really cant get enough.
