Re: BOSE Crazy sound levels and things
Might have an answer to your boot light problem.
Mine came with a non functioning boot light. I tested the bulb and it was OK. I took it back to the dealer. After 10 minutes, they declared that the boot latch was knackered and needed replacing.
When the latch is knackered, it tells you on the dash mounted computer. To stop this happening, someone had disconnected the sensor on the latch. The same sensor controls the boot light!!!
My car was used and I think that the previous owner had frigged the wiring to sell it.
The dealers reconnected the sensor, hey presto, light works but warning comes on that the hatch is open. Had a new latch fitted and the problem went away. Charged the new latch & fitting (£60) back to Motorpoint, Derby, where I bought the car from as they had given me an assurance that all electrical systems had been checked....LIARS!!
My BOSE is OK. It gets louder as I go faster, but not to a level that is too loud, mind you, I do like a bit of Rock. Dark Side of the Moon at volume level 60 is awsome!!
My drivers door has big shut gaps, and the big rubber between the exterior panel and glass dosn't line up with the big rubber under the rear quarter light. Dosn't bother me much.
Hope this helps.
