jon'o, is your car still covered by alfa's rust warranty? or penetration warranty, same thing i believe?
if it is, you would be well advised to check with your dealer as you may be required to use an alfa approved panel shop.
apart from that possible issue, you have to think of your future plans for your bella, how old is it now, will you tradein/sell on anytime soon or will you run until it has to go to the great recycle yard in the sky?
alfa residuals are not great anyway, do you really want to have to tell the next buyer there are replacement skins or new factory original doors?
if i'm your buyer, i know what i want to hear
hard luck on the poor old guy that damaged your car, but you shouldn't even consider skins, even if you were paying yourself, which your not.
old boy has the option of letting his insurance pay.
new doors, done and dusted, why should you take any risk?
