Hmmm Locking wheel stud

I appear to have misplaced my locking wheel stud "socket": 2001 1.8TS Veloce sportwagon.
Is a dealer the best place to purchase a new one?

Re: Locking wheel stud

try somewhere like halfords or your local motor factor type store, Alfa locking nuts are rubbish and can be removed very easily ....

Re: Locking wheel stud

I'm thinking if you go back to your (s)dealer all you'll get is a lot of sucking teeth, and "oh dear oh dear... tut tut tut, that's gonna cost you"

Then probally shag your alloy's and try to explain that a 9" angle grinder was the only option.

Better off going to a somewhere that supplies and/or fits alloy wheels (not flipping kw**k f*t) , i'm sure they would have seen it a hundred times before.

I know a place in nr. Brands Hatch (Kent) if you live in SE.

for all it's worth..

Re: Locking wheel stud

When I get one in that doesn't have the locking nut key, a suitable "sacrificial" socket hammered over normally solves the problem.......
