156 v6 x2

156 v6 conversion

Afternoon people.

I'm looking at putting my current 98 v6 2.5 engine and box and other associated goodies into a 2005 jts veloce as my own vehicle is starting to develop the dreaded rust problems. Really just posting to see if anyone has done this and could give me some pointers towards what i would need to swap over ontop of the usuals (wiring mainly as its never been a favorite of mine to work on).

List so far would be:

Engine, box, engine wiring loom with remapped ecu, code reader etc
305 brembo, uprights, braided hosesetc
stainless exhaust with de-cat
17's with hubcentric spacers

Advice, hints, telling me not to bother etc will be much appreciated folks

There are several threads about people wanting to do the V6 into TS conversion, and the general concensus is that it isn't worth the hassle, particularly with the wiring issues as its not just the engine bay loom, and in your case you'll have the mismatch of pre and post-interior facelift issues.

Otherwise, its "just" drop the entire front subframe complete with engine, box and front suspension, and then drop the undertray complete with gear lever and cables and swap that over, then put the front suspension etc into its new home, once you've sorted out all the wiring.......

Good luck.
