Airbag Warning Light

The light came on one morning just after ignition and has stayed on for a couple of weeks. No jobs have been done and nothing changed. Apart from a trip to the dealers, anybody any ideas?

Re: Airbag Warning Light

Check the connectors under your seats.
Give them a little push together.

This sorted mine out!

Re: Airbag Warning Light

if you try a search for the title of your thread you will see mine - same issue. reckon the heat push it aprt. anyway fix is to cable tie the connector under the seat, in the box together tight. Then get the warnign light reset.

prob a Fiat dealer will be cheaper and more common, and they have the necessary diagnostics.

cost me £17 inc the cable tieing of the connect under tha passenger seat, so if you explain you have done that and just need it reset, then they should take 10 mins tops and cost less.

note you have no airbags etc while that light is opn, so I used that as a please help me it not safe to drive and I have a long journey thing so they did it straight away.

Hold the rear end slide....don't run wide!

Re: Airbag Warning Light

I had the light reset for the seventh time in a year 10 days ago.

The connectors had already been cable tied so this time I tied them in two directions - lengthways and with the cable looped to the conector side.

If (when) it comes on again I will solder the damn things. Luckily all of my resets have been free.
