Help Engine Oil Additives

Just had my cambelt done and whilst in an oil and filter change.

The garage added Ecotek 100 (an additive). Any one any experience of this product?

Re: Engine Oil Additives

No need for any additives, just use a good oil.
You can ask for your money back for the cost of that additive and the garage should refund it.
It will not cost the garage anything as they will just tell the supplying company and get a free replacement.

I "third" that. Additives add nothing (objectively speaking).

I 'fourth it' - all good oils have plenty enough additives in them already - save your money for the inevitable 'Alfa bills' instead!

Re: Engine Oil Additives

I also support the dissenters.......additives - the automotive equivalent of anti-aging creams....
