wet wet wet

some scumbags broke into my car on sunday and decided the back windscreen was the best glass to break. Unfortunately it was raining like hell all night and the car is soaked...how should i dry everthing out (p.s its winter here in kiwiland, so not much sun.)

Re: wet wet wet

scumbag scrotes, hate them! sorry you fell victim.

welcome by the way.

if you can get the car close to your building, best way i know is to either rent a de-hunidifier from tool rentals like hire all, you can get a reasonsably powerful one that way, or buy a smaller one at appliance store?
imho, if it's really soaked i would remove as much as i could, seats and carpets and dry them indoors? i accept, it is a lot of hassle. hope this helps.

btw, you insured? if so, they should cover a pro cleanup.

Re: wet wet wet

Should be fine to dry out if you can just get rid of the excess water. Use towels or anything that will soak it up, when merely damp it will dry out fairly quickly. (Did similar recently when I didn't realise a back window was open... in a car wash !)
