keeps cutting out

over the last couple of weeks my car keeps cutting out, mostly when im brakin (at traffic lights etc) just spoke to my mate the ford mechanic who says it might be idle speed control valve sticking but as he is not an alfa mechanic he is not too sure so any help would be appriciated cheers guys p.s my girlfriend has a bravo which seems to be going thru the same problem at the same time just wondering if there may be a link between fiat and alfa parts as im not sure if they use the same parts P.P.S ENGLAND WILL WIN THE WORLD CUP

Re: keeps cutting out

Mine kept cutting out when I first bought it, but only once it had chance to warm up and usually when braking or easing off the throttle.
It wouldn't restart for about 5 mins afterwards.
I'm not sure wether yours is doing exactly the same thing, but I replaced the Crank Sensor and it's been fine since.

Re: keeps cutting out

mine was doing the same thing (and still is just not as often) So far i have changet the throttle body, fixed a leak in the concertina rubber hose connected to the throttle body and it got a little better still wildly low tickover so im ordering a new MAF tomorrow hopefully that will sort it.
