Re: MOT ! ouch!
i had a split and glue one on my pug for years - no problems better than the original! Key is to not ad greases till its fully cured, and glue as far from the greasy bit as possible then slide it down.
I had 2 new cv gaiters on my 156, but on 1 they lost a clip I guess on the small end, and used cable ties, but no matter howe tight or many i use, it still seeps grease, and I think the joint is dying as a result
anyone know if you can use a jubilee clip? or will the screw bit, i.e. a lump of weight on one side cause balance and vibration problems as it spins round mega fast?
Might need to replace that whole shaft as there is play in it in the next joint up from the wheel (drivers side) anyway, does that cost much?
Hold the rear end slide....don't run wide!
