Ceramic clutch issues (156 SportWagon 2000 JTD diesel)
I recently bought a 156 estate 2000 JTD diesel which has had some good modifications, however it also had a 5paddle Ceramic clutch & uprated pressure plate fitted at 84k by one of the previous owner (now at 117k). I knew the gear changes wouldn't be as smooth as it's a race clutch essentially (not sure it's really needed for 2.4 Diesel in my opinion), but I've put a 1000k miles on the car in last few weeks and I've started to notice that especially in 2nd gear the clutch is really vibrating/making the car judder badly and i'm a bit concerned it's on it's way out i.e. maybe too much torque going through the clutch and weakening other parts in the engine?
To be honest I wouldn't recommend one as it's not nice to drive in traffic or car parks because you have to over-rev it for the gear change and it pulls pretty hard when it engages which isn't great in a car park!
Any advice as to what I should be looking at e.g. flywheel or something having issues is appreciated.
