Loud squeak on front wheels

Only at low speed but really loud. Any ideas, not really mechanically minded but sounds like a binding brake or wheel bearing. 156 2.4 JTD Lusso with just short of 60k on clock. Just seen a thread about anti roll bar - could it be that also ??

Will have it back in garage on Friday as only collected today but ideas of soure may help !!

Re: Loud squeak on front wheels

If you dab the brakes on when it's squeaking and the squeaking stops then it's a sticking or glazed brake pad.

You need to take the pads out of the caliper, clean off all the dust and grease (use emery paper on the ends of the pad backing plate) and then put them back.

When you re-assemble it, put some copper grease on the back of the pads, and on the ends of the backing plate as it prevents them rusting to the calipers and damps out any movement (which also could cause squealing).
