I've bought my first Alfa, an 02 147 Selespeed in Nuvola Blue I think I scared myself by reading all the nightmare stories about the selespeed and a 2.0 manual was on the cards but this one came up and the rest is history.
Very pleased so far but the selespeed does take a bit of getting used to but once you get out of town and on to the twisty's it's a hoot. Took a leaf out of someones book on here and engaged in some feathering of the throttle between gear changes as I used to do on my Yamaha R6. I know there has been posts on here about a remap of the system to quicken the gear changes, so may look into that at a later date.
I'm going to have to go down the road of enhancement (mods) but nothing garrish, defo on the subtle side. Fancy the Yellow Bird by Novitec but I believe it's fibreglass Went down that road with my sons Punto although it turned out alright in the end.
Will post some pics as soon as my photographer (son) has got the time.
Now I've got my car I can hopefully share my experiences with you all and many thanks for posting yours.
