GT nanny noise

I went for a drive in a 3.2 GT yesterday and very nice it was too. It sat on 18's (roughing up the ride a bit) and looked very mean in metallic black.

Bearing in mind its' street fighter good looks I was surprised to hear the speed warning beep at 70 and the message flash up on the computer display! The kind of thing I would expect in an American spec mercedes but not what i would expect for an Alfa Romeo.

Can this warning be turned off? What happens if you are driving at over 70 constantly (on the continent of course ), I assume that other important messages would override this.

Please restore my faith in Alfa and tell me that this warning can be de-activated......

Re: GT nanny noise

There should be a button of the dash between the steering wheel and the door which allows you to get into the "options" menu. Here you can date/ time etc and date and turn of the speed warning alarm

Re: GT nanny noise

You can set it as high as you like, or just turn it off

I have mine at 85, it would licence suicide to turn ot off altogether
