Well like everything else you get used to the back end twitch on the RX. I've been lucky enough to own several sports cars and as sure as eggs is eggs forums always slate the opposition. No car is perfect and all have strengths and weaknesses....i've given up with the my car is better than your car attitude and realise each owning experience is different.
The RX is like a motorbike with linear power delivery that seems endless although torque is disappointing. The cornering of the car is beautifull and it handles like a dream but if you want overtaking speed you'll be slightly disappointed, the Fiat 20V Turbo+ I owned before the RX would leave it for dead on the straight (as it would most cars!)
The GT is a more gentile beast but in my eyes a more sophistacted overall package...apart from looks it probably doesn't win outright in any category against the other cars in this category but for me it's a case of the sum of it's parts been greater than the whole.
Strangely enough one of the most 'fun' cars i've owned was a FTO with tiptronic gearbox it was as mad as a box of frogs and built like a paper bag but the engine was great and was a very rare sight in the country. In the end the build quality and naff interior got the better of me.
We're in an era when there are some gorgeous sports cars around at not too silly money either (RX, 350, Z4,TT, GTA, Brera, GT etc.) so we should be happy to have this amount of choice instead of slating the opposition cos it's not the one we're currently driving.
