Great - thanks for all the feedback.
The Alfa Romeo website configurator (cack as it is) does let you put moon blue with red leather so I suppose it must be available? I coudn't find any other blue on the Alfa Romeo configurator apart from Gabbiano and the bright French racing blue (can't remember the exact name) which I saw on a dealer demonstrator and really didn't do the car justice IMHO.
I know the black and tan (and black and red) combo looks the dogs, but I've had many black cars before and they're an absolute pain to keep clean, unless you're willing to polish it every time you wash it. Especially in the SE with the hard water which leaves nasty streaks - its so much nicer to clean cars in Scotland (much better roads too
). With 100 miles a day it would be too much like hard work.
I've seen the rear parking sensors on different colours and reckon they look ok on darker colours, but not so good on the lighter ones, esp Alfa red, where they look like boils on the poor GT's bum. They would be useful as my parking space at work has an annoying high kerb/low wall and I just wouldn't want to risk scuffing the pert rear (of the car).
I've also had Xenons on other cars and never really felt they make a huge amount of difference to be honest. Plus if you're used to driving low slung sports cars (we also have an MX5) you'll know how it feels to be temporarily blinded by the direct glare of a blue xenon light coming the other way. I'd prefer not to inflict that on others.
Not too worried about CD changer as I'll expect to get one of the iPod integration kits thrown in as part of the deal.
Reckon I'll definately go with the 17in "dial" alloys - always been one of my favourite wheel design on any car - up with the Ferrari 5 spoke speedlines, Porsche Fuchs and Minilites.
