I have just come back for 1 month vacation and my joy was big to sit once again in my Alfa 156. A few days before leaving, I noticed a rather annoying shudder when I depressed the clutch and drove away in 1st gear - this "shuddering" or judder also started to occur when I shifted down (especially from 3nd to 2nd).
Today, I noticed the problem again and promised myself to have it checked tomorrow. While standing in a traffic jam, I, suddenly noticed that my it became very difficult to get into 1st gear or any gear for that matter, so I immediately parked the car on the side of the road.
Now, the situation is the following : eventhough the clutch is pressed, I am not able to shift the gearshift in any gear (physical resistance). HEnce the car won't move.
Since I have no mechanical skills whatsoever, I was wondering if anybody could tell me how bad it is (before I call the dealership).
Here some details about my car:
Alfa Romeo 2.5 V6 - 2000 - 108000KM - regularly serviced in the dealership by previous owner ( I have only had the car since february 2006).
P.S. I really love that car
