I've had my GT for about a month now, and still love it. I have a company car, and the GT is officially
the wifes car
so I can't wait to get home from work just to pull on to the drive next to her (my Bella, not the wife). Give me any excuse for popping out in the evening, and I'm there. And at the weekends...
It really is a great car!
I bought a year old, petrol 2.0 JTS, in Lipari Grey with 17" wheels. I had a bad experience with the dealer, which still isn't sorted, but it doesn't spoil the enjoyment of a wonderful car. I seem to have been lucky too, in that mine doesn't have the rattles & noises that some have mentioned. The build quality is fine in mine too. There are a couple of things I hadn't noticed (the bad fit on the electric window switches) until I saw them on this forum, but nothing to bother me in the slightest, and I'm not the sort to be blind to problems (quite the opposite
) but it does seem a good car.
I looked at a CLK, but it didn't have 3 seats in the back, so it was no good to me, the A3 didn't even get on my shortlist, (but the new Honda Civic did
) and we did look at Seats, and they are great cars (I've raved about them since I hired one a while ago), but... well, they just lacked that certain something the Alfa has.
People comment, in supermarket car parks, or the pub, or anywhere, on what a gorgeous car it is. I parked mine outsaide the take-away shop, and had to wait about 20 minutes, and the amount of people walking past that slowed and looked as they did was something you don't get with many cars.
Besides, you've really already made your mind up haven't you
