At that age the lower front suspension arms were replaced on mine. They were causing a lot of noise. Admittedly, it was a main dealer that did the work, and Wilmslow might be right, but certainly my suspension was a good deal quieter afterwards, and the steering less vibraty (is that a word?!). Still, an indy specialist is the way to go, I think.
Tracking probs would make it steer vaguely through the bends, but you don't make any mention of that. Still seem sharp enough to you?
