I couldn't shut the boot on my 156 yesterday; worrying, as, of course, it meant I couldn't lock the car at all. Not good when you park in the street.
So today I had to take it to work rather than go on my bike, cos I couldn't leave it parked there all day. Popped into local Alfa guy on the way in work (Bristol) who soon sorted it out for me (Thanks Steve Bateman
He said the sill itself had been displaced around the catch. He remarked this really shouldn't happen, cos it's pinned down by the trim and the catch.
Best guess seemed to be that someone had been trying to force the lock, putting some kind of prying tool in there. I suppose that's another drawback with CD autochangers?
A bit worrying really. This ring a bell with anyone?
