Jtd 16v maf sensor.. can i use this alternative?

I have just blanked my egr which have given me some low power torque back but after cleaning my maf the other week I have lost most of the power through the midrange.

Looking an a brand new bosch maf sensor I see the jtd maf part number and housing also fits the 2 litre jts petrol in the gt. cf3 engine.

I have seen an alternative bosch maf which is a lot cheaper which fits the 156 1.9 jtd 16v engine, 2.0 jts in the 156 and again cf3 engine.

Is it just the housing that is different? Could I just swap the blade into my existing housing? I assume the maf blade is the same?

If so I imagine this could be a good cost saving for most.

Anyone done this?

As long as the sensor parts match it will be ok, that housing is a very expensive plastic tube...

If the actual sensor number is the same, then yes. I have been doing a lot of research into this myself as I have a lack of low down power which i believe is the MAF. Different part numbers have different calibration characteristics for their output even though they look the same.

I believe this is the correct sensor number F00C2G2030

I have a 147 1.9jtd 16v 140 PS and the reference of the sensor is F00C2G2063. At least in mine.

If you have multiecuscan you can see how it is preforming, or even with a multimeter.

I also have to check it, but first, have to deal with a possible head gasket leak...

take a look here:

Pretty sure someone has already done research and listed maf sensors on here. Try a search ...
