I agree with you there, lovelyred. The inside of the 147 is nicer. I've not had the opportunity to drive my dad's 156 more than a few miles and not in the way I'd drive my 147, either! It just seems to 'glide' a little better than my 147 (i.e. I get the impression the motion of it is more effortless, if you know what I mean?) but this could just be an illusion caused by slightly softer suspension and better sound insulation, I suppose.
It just seemed that driving dad's 156 seemed both familiar and unfamiliar at the same time, which was an odd feeling. I thought being based on the same platform and sharing so many components, they'd basically just feel the same.
