I know there is a few threads about this and I do search and have used Fuelly.
However this week is my first full take of full for the V6 (Which I am loving by the way).
Now I do 95% town driving so I am not expecting excellent mpg figures and I know some of you will say
"You've got a V6 why worry about petrol"
But here is my thinking - I regularly get just under 30mpg from the 1.6 147.
Now if I can get the 156 to do circa 25 mpg its definetly becoming my daily driver rather than a weekend car.
Hence me using the car this week to go to and from work (While my cheeky brother keeps nicking my 147).
Most people having read the forums say Low twenties for town, late twenties or even +30mpg on a motorway run. Making it a decent work horse.
This coupled with the lower maintence schedule on cambelts and no Variator to keep in check I've started to beleive it would be a better daily car than the 1.6 (I'm actually trying to convience myself even though I know it will muller fuel).
Again mine needs a new themostat so I'm going to drop a couple mpg becasue of that.
But so far out of half a tank i've got 192miles.
The fuel guage I know isn't accurate and when I next fill up i'll do a brim to brim calc.
In fact the fuel guage is the most inaccurate one I've even seen.
Start the car it says quarter of a tank. Drive for 5 mins its over half. Its more like the car thinking Its around about this but who knows jsut enjoy yourself.
So has anyone got any definetive figures I should be amining for?
