Got in the car this morning after checking the oil level and went to turn the key to start and all power was lost before the starter motor got a chance to engage, flicked the key to MAR position and again, everything on the dash went dimm and the door open indicator was fading out slowly in the centre of the dash
Opened the bonet to check battery connections, Nice and tight, checked Maxi fuses, all okay, Battery terminals are clean and are coated in dialectric grease.
Went to start again and she fired up, The CD player was whirring after it looses power normally and the odometer had reset to 0.0miles.
Power/ Ground issue for sure so I would imediately go to the power & ground connections from the battery all the way to the ignition switch.
Battery is about 4-5years old,
Haven't done any battery voltmeter testing yet as I am at work,
There has been tremendous amount of rain in our area recently,
No warning lights prior to no start.
Obvious practice is to do a battery voltage reading and load/ drop test, then move onto power & ground connections.
It seems wierd as i have never had starting issues in the 6 or 7 years I've owned her.
Your comments much apreciated,
