Hmmm Remote fob key cutting

OK, i'm probably covering -very- old ground, but i've done a search and can't find reference, so here goes...

I only now have one remote fob for my 147 (don't ask! ) and am considering getting a spare from ebay due to AR's exorbitant costs in the UK.

So, if i do get a fob from ebay, where can i get a new key blade cut? Do i have to get this from AR or does anyone know of a key / security firm who cut these?

Can anyone recommend a reasonably priced dealer in the W London / Berks / Bucks region who can program the new fob? OR Can i do this myself with my laptop via OBD?

Thanks in advance for any help...

Re: Remote fob key cutting

Most of the bits from the eBay key will not be usable, it is only really of use of you have a broken case for example.
You still need the correct blade and immobiliser chip (which you will only get direct from Alfa as a complete key).

You you need to get a new key from Alfa and then get someone with an Examiner to add the new key to the car.
