Any sort of modification will cause a bit of havok with your warranty and will require a bit of goodwill from the dealer if you have a problem, if it worries you and you can't afford to fix it yourself should something go wrong and aftermarket additions are suspected to be at fault don't do it, simple. Its the same for any manufacturer unless they provide the mods themselves like vauxhalls VXR range.
The problem you have is if the engine is screwed for some reason or another, how do you prove it was a defect and not abuse from some dodgy remap, think along the lines of around £5k rebuild worst case and if it sits comfortable with you remap, if it doesn't, don't.
@ Mikey, underwhelmed purely because I had experienced the before and after mapping of a Golf and the Alfa didn't come close, but the extra power and torque through most of the range is a worthy addition, particularly higher up the rev range, no other mod will give you the increase per pound of a remap, as for price I am sure its listed on the website.
There was rumour of a better software update for the 1.9 but I can only talk about what I have.
