I have searched the forum inside out, but as you can imagine, there are way too many threads about noises. The ones I've been checking out described other issues not related at all to mine, so I thought I'd better open a new thread for it. Sorry if the topic has already been treated in some other thread!
Anyway, I bought my Alfa GT 3.2 V6 busso one month and a half ago, and I love it to the bits. Seriously, this machine is fantastic! Coming from a Saab 93 1.9 TiD, you can imagine what kind of change it was for me. Fun drives are proper fun drives now!
Anyway, there's something about the car, however, that I would like to check with you... maybe you know if it's a symptom for some known problem. It seems that when I start the car and drive off, 95% of times I feel a very short noise/vibration when the car reaches 30 mph (or 45 km/h for mainland euro people). The noise/vibration is not very annoying per se, but it worries me that this is a symptom for some bigger issue, or a sign of something that is about to go (been reading way too many horror stories about the LSD breaking and taking with it the gearbox too, no wonder why I am scared!).
This vibration (which I feel especially in the throttle pedal) does happen most of times. Sometimes it's more noticeable than others. The higher the gear, the more noticeable it seems to be (I guess the engine vibration does not cover it too much at low revs).
Another thing is that it seems to happen only when the car is cold, because I only feel it when I start it and drive off. For example, when I stop at a traffic light and drive again, I don't recall feeling anything in the pedal.
Do you guys happen to have any idea about where this vibration could be coming from? Thanks beforehand for your help!
