Some people have seen my previous post about my GT dilema.
Spend sone mony on my JTS or get a 3.2.
WHAT A DAY!
Well, decided to go with the 3.2, but not the original one!
Left the house at 5:45am to drive to Amersham to get a Gabbiano blue mint condition one from Perrys. (already put a £500 deposit on it over the phone).
Got there at about 10ish. Car was not ready, and salesamn wanted me to pay and do the paperwork while waiting. I refused and told him to get the car. It was tidy, but not the flawless one i was told it was on the phone. Loads of interior marks and scratches, and my biggest pet hate, a ding on the door. Refused to accept the car, and had my deposit back no problem. To be fair the manager was fine, and could not do enough, but I just did not want to drive all the way back there again in another weeks time after they had promised to resolve the issues I had. (If they had sorted the car out properly before I got there, I would have bought it
I did have a phone number of another garage that had a brilliant blue demo I was quite interested in, so I gave them a call to go and view.
It was now 11;40 ish. I told them that because of the distance from my home, if I was viewing that day, and I liked it, Iwanted to drive it away.
They said fine, a few things to sort out, but basically no problem.
Got to the garage, and the salesman had prepared the car for me(Bank holiday weekend, so no office staff or valeters in!), cleaned it, gone up to the post office with the garage insurance to tax the car for me, and phoned around to arrange a hotel room (which they said they would pick up).
Anyway, drove all the way up to Benfeilds in Newcastle, looked at the car, liked it, turned down the hotel, and drove home to West Wales.
934 miles in total. Arrived home at 12:45 am. Tired but happy.
Thank you Benfeilds.
One complaint. Book says 151mph, my Garmin gps said 147.1mph
