Track control arms on the rear of my 147.

Hello all.
My mechanic just told me that I need new track control arms on the back of my 147. Do they normally go after 41,000 miles and are they expensive to replace?

Re: Track control arms on the rear of my 147.

If he means the horizontal arms, then I had mine replaced on my 156 under warranty in under 20K miles.

They are around 25-30 from the dealers. Two cost more than the other two, but I can't remember which way. You can also buy them with Powerflex bushes now but they cost a lot more (but they are supposed to last forever).

I've just replaced both trailing arms which take around 15 mins max and cost 53 from the dealers (plus VAT, etc). The hub bushes are only 5 each but take an hour to two to fit. You could go the poly route there as well. Poly bushes for the trailing and horizontal arms all cost 16.95 each from Powerflex.

cheers, Gary
