Wow this thread takes me back to some nightmares.
I can't add anything to this thread beyond what was already discussed though.
Because of that persistent leak, I didn't want to sink any money into the car for fear of it rotting through with time (which it probably would have done).
As a direct result of that, the cambelt went 5 months after I started this thread, and 2 months after I had originally planned to replace it.
I know that if it weren't for the leak, I would've had the cambelt done, the suspension sorted, new clutch and I would've still had the 147 now.
She was an absolutely lovely car to own, a pig to work on but a pleasure to drive.
I love the Mito but it's not as much fun to drive in my opinion.
The problem for me is, I don't think I would consider getting another 147 again - the leak problems just put me off.
Nobody wants to be faced with a problem that no matter what they do, they cannot fix.
Funnily enough, the next step for me was wing off and coat everything I could get at with seam sealer.
Unfortunately, never got to that point!
