hi mate, a few years ago on my old 156 2.4jtd i had problems and the readings at the maf where wrong.......lucky for me i took it to a diesel engine specialist and they said that similar figures could be read as a shot maf, but if only reads what it can read, in my case it was a stuck egr that was causing the readings to be wrong......they blanked the egr off for me and showed me second set of figures where it was now correct.
im not sure if a slip hose down stream or up stream may also cause probs by affecting the air flow?
if your egr clean and working? pin in solenoid free and valve moving in the body?
