I did mine at the weekend, following Chris's method as original post and with a radiator from CoolpartsUK via Ebay. I didn't take off the foglight surrounds and used ramps rather than stands. It took me almost exactly an hour to get the old rad off (my undertray was already absent). Putting it back together took a bit longer as I had to contend with a couple of sheared bolts, took the header tank off for a clean out and had a problem with an electrical connection to one of the fan resistors (see my separate post on this - I need some help). I haven't glued the grill back in yet and reckon in all I would have taken four hours once I have done this.
One bit of advice - fit the lower nearside fan assembly bolt before replacing the crossmember, but don't fully tighten it as you will need a bit of slack to get all four in. If you loosen two 10mm nuts up behind the air cleaner you can move it back and make enough space to tighten the lower fan bolt up once the crossmember and the other three bolts are in place. Also, the plastic shroud is screwed to the bottom of the radiator in two places and you won't get the original bolts back in once the crossmember is fitted. I instead used some stainless steel self tapping screws here - they were a bit fiddly, but worked just as well.
Thanks to Chris for his instructions.
