Hmmm Replacing upper wishbones GT

Hi All,

Looking for some advice, my front wish bones sound like a small pack of mice reciting a varying number of little mice songs.

Ive been looking about and these sound like dry wishbone bushes. Would this be the case?

Also are these hard to replace? Bearing in mind the most I have ever done on a car is replace brake pads / disks.

Thanks in advance,

You'll need a ball joint splitter and preferably a torque wrench ... the other nuts and bolts are normal stuff. Big 19mm bolt at bottom of wishbone.

Lots of "how to's" on here if you search ... my preferred option is to drop strut and wiggle arm and mount over strut mounting bolts at top.

PS buy cheap and you will become an expert ... get a good brand. TRW, Birth, etc ... mind out on ebay for chocolate teapot bushes.

Mine need doing on my 147 aswell, I'm going try and do it myself as it does look pretty straightforward as long as you have a ball joint splitter and torque wrench. But as said above make sure you get genuine wishbones !!
