On theElm327 connector, If you bridge pin 7 (Engine CU K-line) to pin 3 (Airbag CU K-line), the Elm will read the airbag controller. Same for the ABS, pin 1. Depending on the car, all other CU's should be read by the CAN bus of the ELM, but many of these adapters have problems with their CAN bus, hence you only get the engine ECU data. The problem with many of them is the addition of an 120 ohm resistor across the CAN pins (or to ground) which is done to facilitate the operation of hacked ELMSCAN software apparently. Removing this resistor is said to restore CAN connectivity to many cars, especially Fiat/Alfa. I've just removed the resistor from the ELM327 Mini, it's microscopic and on a board that has another board over it, so quite a job to locate it and then pop one end with a soldering iron tip. have a look at the pics, its sticking up. I'm going to test this later with AfaOBD and FiatECUscan, the former doesn't work and the latter only scans the ECU.
