Hi all, new here, and I need some help.
Firstly, I have a alfa romeo 147 jtd 16v multijet, I believe the 150bhp engine with a 6 speed gearbox. Recently I had the clutch, dual mass flywheel and slave cylinder done at a local garage (£700
). The car was fine afterwards, however, the pipe slipped off the intercooler to throttle body (I think) as the mechanic had forgotten to tighten it up and there was lots of black smoke and lack of acceleration. I limped back like this (2 mins away) and he put it back on. The car was fine again.
Today, an error has popped up on the dash (the first I have had). It says motor control system failure. The engine management light is on. I have read this can be many things.
I have the full version of ECU multiscan which I got when I owned a fiat stilo, and noticed it also supports my alfa.
Will this cable suffice for connection: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/ALFA-FIAT-...item3a84b6eea5
Secondly (and much less of a issue) my glove box refuses to stay up!
Its very irritating
If anybody has any ideas where to start, that would be greatly appreciated.
