Slightly off-thread, but in terms of performance how have you coped with the transition from 147 GTA to GT? I note in particular that you're after a hike up to 185 BHP, what does that do to the torque?
I'm seriously considering a GT JTD and with it a return to the Alfa fold (formerly a 156 2.0) as i'm getting fed up with my Impreza:
1/ The novelty value is wearing thin;
2/ Fuel. I'm no tree-hugger, but it seems wrong that I should be so pleased at getting 22-24mpg on a run*;
3/ Idiotic insurance that makes a 147 GTA look like a Micra!
4/ Chavvy kids looking at it in supermarket car parks
And before anyone says, yes I did take this into account when I bought it..
On the plus side, my "local" Subaru dealer is f. amazing (if slightly expensive).
*What has swung me back? A friend owns a 52-plate 156 JTD (which I talked him into buying
), and on the same journey he used 40 litres of the black stuff compared with my 70!
