I don't think I've read about this issue before, so just after any feedback and suggestions.
My car is a Dec 2004 build GT 3.2 V6, and has only travelled 28K km. It has been in storage most of the year, and had the alternator/voltage regulator fail a couple years ago. That was replaced, and everything had been working fine.
A few months ago, the odometer stopped working; it simply remains fixed on the same kilometers/mileage. It 'displays' and does not flash. Just happily shows the same kilometers!
But, everything else works. The speedo and rev gauges work fine. From memory, the fuel consumption read out on the multifunction display, etc, still work fine. Yet, I would expect some of these are integrated. No 'errors' being displayed, but I have not had a chance to hook up Alfadiag to confirm. No work/fiddling has been performed on the electrics.
Thus, I presume the sensors are all working properly. I therefore believe the odometer display is simply kaputt. The car is going for routine service in a month, so I will have them check it out, but does anyone have an idea of what could be wrong?
PS: yes, I could continue driving the car for years to come, and sell it as 'genuine low kilometers'!
