I thought they were great tyres, are better value than PS2's for those who don't do track days, but are no slouch at track days either.
BTW Sandy, I ran them at 2.2 bar, wheras I imagine you ran yours at much higher pressure based on the other thread so perhaps this could explain the difference in ride quality.
PS2's are the slightly better tyre in almost every respect though.
F1s shade it in the Wet, PS2s better on a dry track by a more comfortable margin.
I think the PS2s lasted longer too.
F1 GSD3's do get noiser near the end of their life and do disintegrate under extreme stress more than PS2's (more stress then most cars could provide), but have excellent wet weather grip with their strongly directional pattern.
I have to confess not noticing the ride quality being affected, certainly it was the equal of the older PS1's but perhaps not as good as the PS2's.
GSD3 and PS2's are the two top tyres in the max performance category based on thousands of users feedback on tirerack.com.
I think I have destroyed 5 sets of PS2's and 3 sets of F1s at this point
