Alfa 156 Windscreen seal
I've been comtemplating selling my 156 2.4 JTD Lusso in the past few months due to various niggles but instead I think I may try and crack on with them instead. Can't beat the noise and performance from a sub 1k diesel!
Anyway, one thing i've been concerned about is a slight leak in at the top of the windscreen, nothing major, rust isn't evident on the edge either too much (although I can see maybe one or two small bubbles starting from stone chips).
Inside I can see the roof where it joins a black rubber bonded seal with the screen going over the top of it.
From the outside I have to carefully lift the black rubber lip with a key or similar to see the area where it is entering..although it appears to be full of dirty and gunge.
How am I best tackling this? Firstly I want to stop the leak, but I think it would be important to do it the right way and avoid future rust issues. Some slight rust is appearing on the underside of the roof where the water was coming in, presume this is down to the leak. I'll deal with this anyway.
I'm not fully comp, so would need to keep the screen if possible. Removing/refitting....maybe but I guess this is very difficult to get right?
