Radio signal amplifiers

I saw mentioned on a post elsewhere about a signal amplifier. I was out yesterday and thought I would check in Halfords as I think they were mentioned. However I couldn't stay long as there was a large chav quota and I didn't want anyone to see me near the ripspeed shelves

So just wondering if anyone has had success fitting a signal booster?

Re: Radio signal amplifiers

hi m8, it was me who posted the reply about the signal booster on ariels. I have installed quite a few of these as lots of the older vw's need them and a couple of citroens have neede them. I work for halfords myself and the main part of my job is fitting the audio equipment eg, headunits, satnavs, radar detectors.
the signal seperators do work, all you have to do is pick up a live from the cars wiring so that it amplifies the antenna. its much easier with a aftermarket headunit as you can use the remote line output for it but you could use a ignition live feed as well, would do the same job.
