Re: Bulb behind the AC control knobs.
"In how to do" on Gazza's page is very good on how to do this fix, but I went about this job another way, just for the sake of the potential rattles and misfit arising out of removing the central consul. Done it on the 155 a couple of times, never ever went back properly, and always rattled.
I removed the carpet tile on the side of the footwell (the one with the hot air vent for the footwell on it).
Lay on my back in the footwell, and got my hand up at the back of the ac controls with a small screwdriver with a torx head fitted. Was able to remove the two screws holding on the backing plate(white), removing the electrical plugs first, and withdraw the cover out. The circuit board should be then visible, lift the first up and remove the affected bulb by twisting it a quarter turn with your tum, and pull straight out. Then carried out the repair to the bulb as on Gazza's page.
Luckly only the temp and fan speed lights were gone on mine, the heater position bulb would be inaccessible this way, and would need to be carried out according to Gazza's method.
This was carried out on a 156 Series 1, so I am unsure if this applies to the layout on the 147.
Best of luck
