How to remove cup holder on a 147

OK, i've got a question for those with the workshop manual on CD...

The spring that operates the little tray next to the cup holder isn't working. Probably just come off.

I've whipped the CD player out and had a look, but can't see how to slide the cup holder & tray out so i can got to the mechanism behind. I know it's probably a clip or lug somewhere that needs a bit of a tweek, but i don't want to risk breaking anything in the process so i was hoping someone might know how it's done.

Any and all help gratefully received
