Agh snapped it!

Swapped the fuel filter the other day....which caused a very small diesel leak

Anyway, have a quick look and it was coming from the a rush I decided to tighten it up, thinking that would solve it.........snap the bottom sensor....crap bags.

Anyway, rang my local chap up and he said just screw the white plug that came with the filter back in and you'll be able to drive your dont need the sensor.....did that and presto - top tip for everyone! Plus no warning light.

However, for some stupid reason my brain would like this sensor back....

1. what does this sensor do.
2. Anyone have one kicking around I can buy / have?

The sensor below a diesel filter is usually an water-halt sensor, but you're supposed to change filter before it gets too much water in the fuel anyway.
