2.4 JTD Engine Check
I think I may have an electrical problem (wow on an Alfa . . . never!). When I start her up it runs the normal diagnostic on the engine and normally is fine.
However every now and then it beeps and flashes up "Engine Oil low, Go to dealers immediatly" - or something similar.
It has done this in the past but normally I will leave the car running for about 3 mins, turn it off, wait for 30 seconds and then re-start, the check runs fine and all is ok.
But today it stayed on. I stopped for ciggies about 7 miles into my journey and just thought "it will be fine once I re-start" - wrong.
I have just returned from lunch and it has done it again - the message is staying on.
I have checked the oil on the dipstick and it is fine, plenty in.
I called Reg "rip off" Vardys and they have told me that they will have to take the car in and run a diagnostic that will cost me £40 even before they find out if anything does or deosn't need fixing!
Is this a common fault that will cost me a bit to fix or is it just another Alfa quirk?
If it is a problem does anyone have an idea of prices?
